Muir Red, Red and Red Multi-Coat and PPMR refer to this same Tesla paint. Tesla used the same paint on the Model 3 (2017–2023), Model S (2012–2021), Roadster (2020–2021) and Model Y (2020–2021).
This finish combines metallic flake and pearl. Work in thin coats, stroke scratches in one direction with the brush and let each coat dry before the next. Light and bright shades cover primer slowly, so a deep chip needs two or three thin coats.
