Saab 97: paint code 41U Obsidian Black
If the label on your Saab reads 41U, the factory colour is Obsidian Black, a solid black, used from 2005 to 2009.
Workshop systems may show it as WA8555 and 770. Saab used the same paint on the 9-4X (2011–2012) and 95 (2010).
With a solid colour the edge disappears quickly. Fill chips with the needle, draw scratches with the brush and let each thin coat dry. Dark shades show every ridge: build the chip up until it is level, then polish once the paint has cured.
