About this colour

Copper, paint code XG2

XG2 Copper for Daihatsu

Code XG2 is a two-tone paint. This product is Copper; the other colour on the vehicle is Black. Each colour is mixed and sold separately, so order the one you need.

Daihatsu calls this metallic brown Copper. On the paint label it appears as code XG2, in use since 2018.

Workshop systems may show it as T33.

Where to find the code on a Daihatsu: name plate low on the centre pillar in the front passenger door opening (right-hand-drive cars); on some models the name plate is fixed inside the engine compartment. Step-by-step guide

The flake in metallic paint darkens if it is reworked while wet. One steady brush stroke per scratch and small needle dots for chips give the cleanest result. Dark shades show every ridge: build the chip up until it is level, then polish once the paint has cured.

Every kit is mixed to code XG2 when you order. Basic is the 20 ml pen with needle and brush, Standard adds polish paste, and Complete adds polish paste, a microfibre cloth and a glove. Shipped within 24 hours, tracked and free worldwide.

Is this an exact colour match?

Yes. It is mixed to your official colour code, and every order is mixed by hand to order.

If your car's paint is older or faded, the result can vary slightly with age, sun exposure and surface condition.

What kind of damage is this best for?

It is best for small chips, scratches and scuffs.

Deeper damage down to bare metal or plastic may need extra preparation, such as primer or filler, for the cleanest result.

How do I use it, and do I need clear coat?

For most small repairs, apply the paint in thin coats and let each coat dry properly.

Clear coat is usually not needed for small chips and scratches when the paint is applied carefully.

For the best result, do not wash the repaired area for 24–48 hours.
