Karmesinrot is the solid red that BMW lists under paint code A61, used from 2005 to 2011.
The same paint also appears as Crimson Red and under the codes 11FVB, 3D9NB, 43HTB and 5WTL. BMW used the same paint on the X3 (2007–2010).
With a solid colour the edge disappears quickly. Fill chips with the needle, draw scratches with the brush and let each thin coat dry. Light and bright shades cover primer slowly, so a deep chip needs two or three thin coats.
